Terms and conditions to the Love to Learn & The Royal Photographic Society Photo Competition
1 - The Royal Photographic Society (The RPS) and Love to Learn Photography competition’ opens on July 9th, 2012, at 4pm and closes at midnight on Sunday 9th September 2012 (“the Closing Date”) and any entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted
2 - The Competition is free to enter and is open to all members of the public, UK and international. If you are under 16, you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the Competition.
3 - The Competition winners will be announced on Friday 21st September 2012. The winning entries will be selected by our panel of judges. The decision of the judges is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the prize promotion.
4 - Each entrant can submit up to four images. The images entered can be entered in different categories or all images can be entered into a single category. Judging will be based on the single image and not the series of images.
5 - The copyright of all entries remains with the authors. The organisers reserve the right to reproduce, without payment, any submitted images for publicity and promotion purposes in connection with the competition
6 - By entering you agree to your image being used in any related publicity and to the use of your name for the purposes of promotion and publicity across the Love to Learn sites and social media channels without additional compensation.
7 - Submission of entries will not constitute proof of receipt and no responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for entries which the Promoter does not receive. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or corruption of data in transit.
8 - Winners of each individual four categories will receive:
- A one year membership to The Royal Photographic Society
- Tom Ang’s Digital Photographers’ Handbook
- A Love to Learn online course of their choice
- Exposure of their photo on the Love to Learn website and RPS
The prizes will be delivered within four weeks of the competition closing.
9 - The prize must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or other alternative prize are available in whole or in part except as provided for in these terms and conditions.
10 - Employees (and their families) of Pearson Love to Learn and the Royal Photographic Society are excluded from entering the Promotion. This includes any affiliates, parent or subsidiary companies, as well as representatives or agents of Pearson Love to Learn, or anyone else who may be involved or connected with the Promotion. Any entries submitted by agents or third parties shall be invalid and will not be accepted.
11 - An entrant cannot enter on behalf of someone else. In addition to this the copyright of all submitted work, including full control of use, must be at the disposal of the entrant. All contributing images must be the work of the photographer. The organisers accept no liability for any breach of copyright by an entrant.
12- The Promoter shall use reasonable effort to contact the winner through the contact details provided on entry. If the Promoter is unable to contact any winner within a reasonable period of such a winner having been selected, or if any winner is unable for whatever reason to accept the prize, or does not respond to communication from the Promoter within seven days of receipt thereof, then the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another participant.
12 - Acceptance of Regulations: Submission of any entry implies acceptance of the Entry Rules.
